1. Accessibility requirements and applicable criteria
The requirements for digital accessibility are set forth in Legislative Decree No. 82 of May 2022, No. 82 , “Implementation of Directive (EU) 2019/882 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 April 2019 on the accessibility requirements for products and services,” which, for technical aspects, refers to the UNI EN 301549 standard.
Specifically, the website’s compliance must be assessed against the criteria set forth in Chapters 9 “Web” and 10 “Non-Web Content,” which refer to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Levels A and AA.
The four fundamental principles of digital accessibility, as outlined in WCAG 2.1, are:
Perceptible – The content is presented in a clear and understandable way.
User-friendly – The interface is easy for all users to navigate.
Understandable – The information and processes are intuitive and easy to understand.
Accessible – The website is compatible with the most common assistive technologies.
In accordance with the aforementioned UNI EN 301549 standard, which clearly lists the 50 success criteria to be considered when assessing the accessibility of a website, technical analyses were conducted on the website’s content, which includes both textual and non-textual information, downloadable documents and forms, and forms of two-way interaction, such as the processing of digital forms and the completion of authentication, identification, and payment processes.
Of the 50 success criteria specified by current technical standards, the following are considered inapplicable to this website:
Areas excluded from the scope of application
Article 1, paragraph 5, of Legislative Decree No. 82/2022 states that the provisions of the decree do not apply to the following website content and mobile applications:
media time-based content pre-recorded and published before June 28, 2025;
file formats for office documents published before June 28, 2025;
maps and online mapping services, provided that, for maps intended for navigation, essential information is provided in an accessible digital format;
third-party content that is neither funded nor developed by the relevant business entity nor subject to its control (on this website, non-conformities have been identified related to third-party plugins or services, which Bosca S.p.A. cannot directly address to resolve);
content of websites and mobile applications that are considered archives in the sense that they contain only content that has not been updated or revised since June 28, 2025.

4. Compliance with accessibility requirements
Bosca S.p.A. has implemented solutions to make its website accessible and compatible with assistive technologies, with the aim of improving the user experience for all users.
Following specific technical inspections, a technical report was produced outlining the corrections and improvements needed to meet the compliance criteria.
The accessibility features implemented on the website available to users include, but are not limited to, the following:
Compatibility with assistive technologies (e.g., NVDA, Jaws)
Navigation using the keyboard
Appropriate color contrasts
Text alternatives for graphic and multimedia content
Zoom and font resizing
Subtitles for multimedia content and text transcripts
Control of animations and reduction of non-essential movements
Forms and input fields with clear labels for easier interaction
Accessibility of web content for users who rely on assistive technologies, such as
screen readers, alternative keyboards, or voice commands, is further supported by the use of ARIA attributes, which are useful for describing the role, state, and properties of user interface elements, for communicating dynamic interactions (e.g., expandable menus, modals, sliders) to screen readers, and for supporting keyboard navigation within complex components.
To further improve accessibility and the user experience,
a widget ( UserWay
PRO) has been integrated into the website. Its use by website visitors is
completely free and helps improve the site’s compliance
with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1).
UserWay PRO offers a variety of features to
improve the website’s accessibility and user experience
through a dedicated panel that can be accessed by clicking
on the widget icon or using the keyboard shortcut
CTRL+U, as listed below.
Screen reader : Reads all page content aloud without requiring the installation of an external reader.
Dictionary: allows you to look up words in dictionaries without having to leave the website. Essential for people with cognitive disabilities, non-native English speakers, and others.
Larger text: allows you to increase the text size on the screen with four different zoom levels, making every part of the site immediately easier to read.
Saturation: sets the color intensity of a website to high, low, or grayscale.
Contrast: inverts the colors of a website or lets you switch between light and dark modes.
Smart contrast: ensures that all colors on the site are fully compliant with ADA standards, ensuring greater visibility of content.
Featured links: Highlights links, buttons, and other interactive, clickable elements using light, high-contrast colors, making them easier to identify and improving the site’s usability, navigation, and overall accessibility.
Pause animations: pauses content that moves or refreshes automatically and is considered a barrier to accessibility; stops animations and flashing content that are distracting and may trigger seizures in people at risk.
Text Spacing: Adjusts the text and line spacing to improve readability for users with dyslexia and visual impairments, offering three levels of adjustment for a personalized and more accessible reading experience.
Line spacing: Increases the height of the lines to ensure more comfortable spacing throughout the text.
Text alignment: aligns the website text to the left, right, or center to ensure a personalized and more accessible reading experience.
Fonts for dyslexia: The “UserWay Dyslexia Friendly” font improves readability and offers a simpler, smoother reading experience for visitors with dyslexia.
Cursor Large: Increases the standard cursor size by 400% so that the pointer is always visible. This allows for faster and more accessible navigation through hyperlinks, tabs, and form elements.
Tooltips: Display alternative text and ARIA labels for elements on the screen with a simple mouse hover. The tooltips are clearly visible, high-contrast, and easy to read for users with visual impairments and accessibility needs.
Page structure: quickly displays page headings, anchor points, and links in a clear, structured, easily navigable, and accessible format. It helps both users with disabilities and those without to find the content they are looking for more quickly.
In addition to the features that users can enable from the accessibility menu, the UserWay PRO widget can detect numerous website non-conformities and make the necessary corrections in real time, without modifying the source code but only what the browser displays on the screen. This makes the website more accessible to all end users, including those who use assistive technologies.
Additional accessibility requirements related to e-commerce services

Compliance Status
To determine the website’s compliance status, the guidelines and assessment checklist prepared by AgID were used. The technical review conducted by an expert accessibility consultant revealed the following status, as of the date this policy was drafted or updated.
This website is partially compliant the requirements set forth in Appendix A of the UNI CEI EN 301549 standard due to the instances of non-compliance listed below:
The web pages do not comply with the requirements set forth in Chapter 9, “Web,” of the UNI CEI EN 301549 standard
The PDF files available for download from the website do not comply with the requirements of Chapter 10, “Non-Web Documents”.
Specifically:
some visual information is not properly structured in the code (such as lists or headings), which can hinder navigation using assistive technologies and the interpretation of the content hierarchy;
Some text lacks semantic markup, making it difficult for screen readers to determine its semantic significance and use appropriate intonation;
In some cases, page elements do not clearly indicate their purpose or function;
some content cannot be accessed using the keyboard;
In some sections, the order of the information accessed via the keyboard does not correspond to the meaning of the content;
Some content lacks visual cues indicating the focus in certain sections, which can make it difficult to tell where you are while navigating without a mouse.
During accessibility audits, several structural non-conformities were identified that can be attributed to the technology platform on which the site is based. Immediate corrective action on these components could compromise the proper functioning of certain service features. Since the affected portions of code were developed prior to June 28, 2025, the adaptation will be scheduled as part of the development of a future version of the site.
Furthermore, this accessibility statement considers
non-conformities corrected by the UserWay PRO widget to be resolved, as the
changes made by it meet the success criteria
set forth in current regulations.
