Imposing vaults, magnificent spaces, permanent art installations. Canelli’s cellars are not only a wonderful testimony to the Piedmontese wine culture but also an exciting representation of the work that human ingenuity can produce.

The Underground Cathedrals – a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2014 – are a real architectural masterpiece, which show the incredible story of Bosca through lights, sounds, and places.
A magical place
A visit to the Bosca Underground Cathedrals is not the usual visit. An experience, rather. You will have the opportunity to explore unique environments in an equally unique way. Beauty, magic, emotions: this is what you will find.

We chose to visit this winery solely to see the famous Unesco heritage underground cathedrals, ... Read more... that is, a very unique and beautiful architecture with brick vaults reminiscent of a church. The Bosca cellars are one of the 3 underground cathedrals that can currently be visited.
I liked the very scenic visit with lights turning on to music and video projections.
I did not like the fact that there are only bottles in this facility, not barrels or other processing prior to bottling, so in that aspect it is a bit monotonous!
At the end we taste 4 sparkling wines including one low alcohol and one 0% alcohol which are an innovation in this family.
Suggestions for future improvement: since the room where we taste is large , it would be more functional to organize it in such a way as to have small tables and/or seats, avoiding the current huge counter, serving each glass directly to the visitor so that it can be a more relaxing and convivial moment. -

It was a 'wonderful experience thanks in part to our guide who was able to tell the story of the Bosca family and the production of the world-renowned classic method sparkling wine and the difference with the Martinotti method. I would love to return to see the delicate work of the "remueur" or "champanista" Franco and have him tell us about his craft. Tip for the Bosca😊 family. -

Taking advantage of a rainy day, we visited these UNESCO heritage cathedrals. The tour proved to be interesting ... I would have expected something more from the tasting where I did not enjoy the non-alcoholic wine and the fruit-flavored wine but other than that, I would have liked to do the tasting in a different and less rushed setting, almost more aimed at concluding a purchase than completing a tour. -

We were visiting this area briefly and were really lucky to find out that an English tour (free of charge!) would ... read more... take place the next day. I made a reservation from the link on Google maps - very convenient! The tour was fascinating, the place is beautiful and unique and all the music, lights and video presentation added a really nice touch. The guide Alice was enthusiastic, artistic and spoke very good English. It felt more like a captivating show than a tour.
There was degustation at the end and we ended up buying several bottles of delicious "Madame Bosca".
But this place is usually not open to the public and you can only get in with a tour. Actually, we came 40 min early and couldn't even locate it since there is no sign! The door opens about 20 minutes before the tour time. -
